This year’s convention will be held at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, VA. Adjacent to the Crystal City Metro Station, the entire Washington D.C. metropolitan area is at your disposal, with the Smithsonian Museum, Holocaust Museum, National Zoo, and the national monuments just a metro ride away. Plus, we are just one mile from the Ronald Reagan National Airport.

Brothers are encouraged to begin making reservations for the Washington DC Convention as soon as possible to save money. The hotel is accepting room reservations until June 10, 2010 in order to take advantage of the discounted convention rate. Please keep in mind there is only a limit number of rooms blocked at the discounted convention rate.

The Programming Committee has acquired an excellent rate for this year’s conference hotel at $99 per room.. This pricing includes single or double occupancy. Additional charge will apply for additional individuals up to 4 people per room. To ensure that we meet the required booking block all brothers should stay in the conference hotel.

Travel to the conference

If you are flying in for the Convention there are two airports Reagan National and Dulles International Airports. Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is located in Chantilly, VA and 26 miles from Arlington and downtown Washington, DC. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is located in Arlington, VA just across the Potomac River from the Nation’s Capital. It is relatively easy for you to get to the hotel from either of the Washington D.C. airports.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

From Dulles International Airport to Sheraton Hotel:

• Most expensive: Washington Flyer Taxi directly from Dulles. Distance is about 25 miles
• Less expensive: SuperShuttle shared ride service from Dulles.
• Least expensive: Take Metrobus Route 5A toward L’Enfant Plaza from Dulles Airport Curb 2E to Rosslyn Metro Station stop, which is located in Arlington, VA. Take the Blue Line towards Franconia Metro and stop at Crystal City Metro Station. Hotel is adjacent to metro station.

From Reagan National Airport to Sheraton Hotel:

• Most expensive: Washington Flyer Taxi directly from Reagan. Distance is about 1 mile.
• Less expensive: SuperShuttle shared ride service from Reagan.
• Least expensive: Take Metro Blue line towards Large Town Center or Yellow line towards Mt Vernon Sq directly from Reagan Airport to one stop away to Crystal City Metro Station. Hotel is adjacent to metro station.

The Programming Committee is continuing to work on providing members with travel discounts and will announce the discounts when they are secured. Please do not delay booking your airline ticket, as there are a number of websites and travel tools that already offer significant discounts.
